However, speakers planning to use it for this presentation will need to set up & prepare to speak first.  If you need  other types of Audio-Visual aids (e.g. tape player, video player, etc. AND you are not scheduled to present in FH58A) you will need
to reserve those through the Media Center (X9554) at least 24 hours prior to presentation day.

ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:

  >•< Class Procedure for Presentation Days:

            1. All Extemporaneous speech OUTLINES{revised versions, typed) for that day's
            speakers will  be collected.

            2.  Evaluators will take out a blank sheet of paper on which to write comments (at least 4)

 
            3. The designated Camera operators will set up the room & the videorecording equipment and
                 decide how to split up the camera work.

            4. Each speaker will deliver his/her presentation --
                First, handing his/her CUED-UP videocassette tape to the designated camera
                operator.  NB: Speakers using  the computer slide projector will   probably go in sequence, first. go first.

            5. At the end of the day's presentation , Evaluators will hand in their written comments
            which will eventually be passed on to the respective speakers.
                   If time, we will begin the replay process.
 

    >•< Remember, Extemporaneous speaking [which is speaking from outlined notes / NOT
          speaking word-for-word], constitutes the majority (70-80%)  of this presentation. The
          manuscript excerpt that you use must be correctly cited & should coordinate with your
          extemporaeous message.

     >•< Be sure your presentation (including your "visual/presentation aids") falls within the
           assigned time limits. [3-4 minutes, TOTAL] 

     >•< As always, the revised HARD COPY of your
       Extemporaneous Speech Outline + BIBLIOGRAPHY [ 1-2 source minimum])
       is due  BEFORE you deliver your presentation. Be sure to use correct outline format.
         Double check the examples in your text.
     

    >•< No hats, of course

 
    >•<  be sure your videotape is labelled & cued up

    >•< NOTE: A written VIDEO Self Critique form  on
    the aural AND organizational  aspects of this presentation is due -- via E-mail
     -- no later than one week of your presentation. A page with additional information
     about this video critique also will be  linked to the main course web page  & will probably also
     be sent to you via e-mail  so that you can use the reply function to complete it & send it back.
